I literally swim in these old clothes.I'm so glad I found these old measurements! Pre-ops, I highly recommend that you take photos (you don't even have to develop them now) and your measurements. Take it from me, you'll really want to know how much you've changed once you're post-op.Gemello-138 lbsopen RNY 06/03/03reconstuctive surgery 05/25/04__________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hi Gemello, I'm glad that you found those charts. It is so cool to be able to look at the numbers and see how much smaller you've gotten. To all the pro-ops out there - I want to second Gemello's recommendation about taking pictures and measurements. My friend who had surgery 2 weeks ahead of me didn't do this - and she really wishes that she had. I am certainly glad that I took mine. When my weight loss has stalled a couple of times, it was neat to be able see that I was still shrinking. (BTW - measuring at the same points that Gemello did - I have lost a total of 6 feet & inches! Just goes to show how big I used to be. No wonder my skin sags so bad.) Guest guest
Leann: Thanks for your kind words. This has all happened so quickly (or so it seems)! Sooner than you realize it, you're 10% will be gone forever, and it will be your turn to share post-op stuff. Keep up the good work! Guest guest
Gemello and Kay, It is just amazing when you both put the inches lost into feet lost. People talk about losing a whole person when they lose over 100 lbs, but when you think about 5 and 6 feet! All I can say is WOW. I am so inspired by both of you.
