Guest guest
Tory's Top Ten Blessings This Week 10. We had two days off this weekend! Wahoo! Last week we had a makeup Saturday, which sure made for a long week! 9. Yesterday Roy and I ran our first 5k and we made pretty good time. He's not a fast runner. I had run at my pace, leaving him far behind, but then I felt guilty. You ran (in La Conner) down to the waterfront, turned around, and ran back to the middle school, so when I passed him still heading towards the water, I turned and ran with him. I had to jog in place a few times waiting for him to catch up, but we crossed the finish line together holding hands. We ran it in 32:28, which is slow for me, but the fastest he's ever run. It was so neat! We're going to do the St. Paddy's Day Dash in two weeks and he said he'll do it again. 8. Today we both started working on our NYC Scrapbook. I did some pages on the computer and they turned out AWESOME! His turned out better. He did them by hand. I always mess up and am never satisfied with my ones by hand. If you want to see the two I've done so far go to www.msteechur.com/scrapbooking 7. Friday I took 36 of my students to the Experience Music Project and we had a GREAT time! Lots of parents came with and had fun as well. 6. After the field trip, most of my kids thanked me. I always appreciate that. 5. My " smoker " has been in every day and has not smoked a single cigarette since I caught him! Well he says he hasn't, but I haven't smelled anything on him. I trust that he hasn't. 4. One of my girls was chosen to be submitted for a very prestigious scholarship. They only choose two students, and they chose her out of a number of applicants. She's a great kid. She's been in my FBLA for four years, a state officer for two years, and is just an all around great kid. I'm so proud of her! 3. Roy and I went to see The Passion on Wednesday. Wow. It's an amazing movie. Very moving. I'm glad we saw it together and that we both share an understanding and deep appreciation for the Lord's sacrifice. 2. We got a new couch this week and it looks great, plus it made me clean the livingroom. It's amazing how grimy things get over the Winter when the sun isn't around to highlight the dust llamas living there! 1. Spring is coming! The crocuses are croaking! The daffodils have poked up their little yellow heads. The quince is blooming! Guest guest
You're so sweet! I'm a slow runner (even when I was into it, just a BAD stride) and on long runs, it was always so nice when a friend would finish and then run back to me to encourage me to the end. Cheyenne > > 9. Guest guest
I thought about how I'd feel if he ran off ahead and left me in the dust...and felt like I should turn back. He's sweet, though, he immediately said " No! Don't ruin your time! " He was really not happy the last mile so I put on my cheerleader hat and reminded him how good it was for him, how most people were lounging in bed, what it was doing for his body, how proud he was going to feel when he passed the finish line. I was right! He's been talking about it all weekend and he signed up with me for the St. Paddy's Day Dash! > Re: Top Ten Blessings This Week > > > You're so sweet!
