Braces LETTERS DO WORK

You are so right Jill!

It is amazing what pen to paper can do.

I remember, when my grandmother was alive, she used to write the manufacture

of ANYTHING that went wrong or would not work.

In her prime time of letter writing she had REPLACED:

refrigerator

stove

air conditioner

2 beds

many food items

And she received FREE:

various drugs

food products

car tires

And she was able to motivate some manufactures to LISTEN TO HER NEEDS about

particular steps down her mobil home. They did not make them to suit her

orthopedic needs but the manufacture custom made steps that would suit her.

That is something for an 60-78 year old I'd say!

I agree with you Debbi. I have written many letters in my time too and have

been pleased with the results. I recently complained about a grocery store

in town (actually, the only one we have...) and got a meeting with the

manager and district manager to resolve the issues and got a $50.00 gift

certificate for my troubles. Writing a letter and directing it to the top

of the heap usually gets good results. Remember, as consumers all people

who sell things to us must stand up and take notice of us or else we stop

buying....look at a letter of complaint from their point of view - the

company wants you to be happy because for every one letter you may have

written, you likely have told many mothers - so this bad advertising hurts

and is the catalyst for change. A complaint on this list for

example....reaches 395 mailboxes! That's a heap of negative publicity, and

no company, regardless of the product they sell, wants that.

Good for your grand-mother!

Jill
