I think we should leave this up to the list owner. I personally have not seen anyone promoting Buddist peace marches, druid tree plantings or Satanic church suppers and I don't think that should have been mentioned in this context. We're all dealing with health issues and I see nothing wrong with mentioned health causes that we are involved in. What a blessing that after WLS some people can even participate in a walk like this where before WLS they weren't able. So technically, this is a life issue because now she can participate. For that matter, if we are going to go that route then we should ban all OT posts, which I don't think we should do. We've gotten involved in each other's lives and if we're not interested, that's what the delete button is for.

I'drather we stick to WLS and our life issues as they relate to that. Iunderstand it's a fine line to walk! Thanks.Martha

I don't mind the occasional off-topic post, as long as the subject field is clearly marked "OT" - then, if I'm rushed for time, I (and others) can choose to read just those posts with content that will be most ON TOPIC!

I just got a cable modem hookup for my PC today, and was able to create a new email address. So, "headingouthca" is now "booklady," if I did it correctly.

Hi Martha,

I just want to apologize. Some of my recent postings have been

decidedly off topic.

Sorry.

Kay,

Its ok you don't have to apoligies. Like Martha Said this IS a very

fine line. As list owner I can not please everyone. My deleteing

post in the pass started allot of drama and now I don't want my not

deleting post to start drama. I agree with whoever said please put

OT in the subject line so those who don't want to read OT post can

pass on them. I hope this helps, please remember it is really hard

for a list owner to make everyone happy. If we can all learn to be a

bit more tolerant with each other we will be fine. I myself don't

like ALL the post I see but now understand this group is so much

bigger then me and what I want to see here. I belive in my heart we

all want the same thing here.

Hugs

Kay,

Please, don't apologize! No need! Just a gentle request!
