Janet my love...

Here is a good website for your concerns about these feelings of continence during chemo

- I hope it helps and gives you a positive look at this annoying problem.

I'm sorry to hear you are so tired, and wish I lived next door to give you a big hug!

Best,

what?? what ?? what this site has became ?? are we talking about pee ?? yuuu.... HEY, I AM KIDDING, OK..???? lol lol...oops... Janet, I have became mildly incontinent after the hysterectomy, being in menopause, because I was told of the lack of hormones, and my doctor suggested me to "exercise there"...wow...no, let me explain : he said that when I have to go pee, try to "hold" it, go to the count of 5, then "hold it" again, and so on to the end. That should help to reinforce the muscles in the area (the little "channel" that connet the bladder to the outside is opened and closed by muscles ). A medical consultation will give you the peace of mind and the right help, I hope. Take care, Lu & nne Svihlik wrote: Janet, Have you mentioned this to the doctor? I will keep you in my prayers. back NORMAL. That feels really good. I see my oncologist on Monday and later on the same day, my breast cancer specialist. One thing I want to ask dr is why am I suddenly almost incontinent. The day I have chemo I have no control and almost no notice. Maybe my muscles need to be beefed up. But then it gets a little better, but almost every time while I am pulling down my pants, etc. I am already going. Wow!!Sure hope it's the chemo that causes it, I never had this trouble before. Sorry if this is offensive to read. Janet

Janet!!!! I was starting to wonder where you've been! So good to see you post.

The cabinet knobs are a great idea; I'm so sorry to hear about your fingers still peeling. That must be so "sensitive."

I reread your email last night, the one where you told me all about your work experiences. I had a "good" day yesterday, although I did have my treatment of Herceptin yesterday so I always have a headache. It is so wonderful to be able to go back and 'read' about your adventures in the world of work. Thank you again for all the time you put into it. Some of the parts make me laugh, because I'm experienceing the same things from time to time.

I'm glad you got out with your girlfriends for lunch; just try not to hug, kiss or shake hands too much if your levels are low.

I will bring you to work with me today in my pocket for luck. I'm so blessed to have a friend like you.

XOXOX

Great to hear from you Janet. I too am getting cabin fever. We moved here in Oct and my BC was diagnosed in Nov so I haven't had a chance to make any friends as yet. So it's just DH and I and he loves to stay home. Wouldn't you know!! All my friends are in Tulsa, OK and I am in Nashville, TN. I moved here to be near my daughter but she travels a lot with her band. No other family around us.

I miss being with my friends and my sister. I got to see them last weekend and although it was only a one day visit I laughed till I cried all day long. My dearest friend Alayne, has been my bestest friend for over 30 years and I miss her so much.

I too hate the no knob cabinets and I have them. Gonna change that one day. My fingers aren't peeling however. Thank goodness something is fine with me.!

Hugs

Trisha

I know the drs told me to stay away from grocery store on weekends and big sale days. But I am getting so tired of being home alone I have cabin fever. So I was invited out for lunch today and I accepted. Nine of us who exercise at the Sr Health Clinic get together once a month. And we had loads of laughs today, so then I went shopping for short sleeved blouses and ended up with three....Penneys had a sale. Also, had to pick up my new drawer pulls and knobs for kitchen cabinets. With my fingers peeling it was gettting harder to open those dumb cabinets without any hardware on them. Does anyone else have this problem? Anyway, so I am feeling much better today and tomorrow is watercolor painting class.....then on Friday I have my second chemo IV of month four. He did say I could stop after five months and I am seriously considering that.

, I am praying for your husband too. And for you. I too love this group.

Awwwwwwwwwwwww Shucks! I am the one who is blessed by your friendship. And I'm glad you enjoyed my description of the job problems. And then there is always the snitch who gets in good by telling him all the things you tell her. Ah well, those days are gone now. And my 401K rolled over into an IRA mutual fund at Merrill Lynch where it has doubled over the years. The bank met 50% of what I put into it and I figured it was the only way to get free money from the bank.

& nne and all who sent an email about me. I am going to call the Dr. tomorrow and see if I can get in earlier. I go to the dr for just a blood count on Friday, so maybe he will fit me in somewhere. I also have a mouth sore that is getting a little better with Biotine, but it's still not gone. I will be able to call early tomorrow because I have to leave at 10 a.m. for my class and don't get back until 2 pm. But it will work so I have to remember a bunch of things when I call.

Getting back to my carrot juice...................

Loved your tent and picture. And of course I loved the trike with you truckin' along. Hope you have a fabulous weekend in the RV. Actually I can't think of a better way to spend a day than with friends, out in nature, smelling the spring smells and listening to the birds. Good for you!! You are taking time to "smell the roses".

Hugs,

Janet

A link for some good questions to ask Radiation Oncologist:

I have the 2-day Walk for BC here on Long Island tomorrow - will "keep" you in my pocket for strength.

Work has been great, although tiring. I will ask him on 6/27 about fatigue, and if it has any detrimental effects going forward. Sunday is my (2) year anniversary, plus I'm still on weekly Herceptin, so don't want to jeopardize anything with my immune system, etc.

Good luck starting radiation and am thrilled to hear you're growing hair!!!!! Trish must be starting too.

Have a great weekend
