Guest guest Posted June 22, 2004 Report Share Posted June 22, 2004 Well, I had my Doctor's appointment today...and I asked my Pain Doc about an SCS. He said that I would be a good canidate for the trial, and since he no longer does them himself, he is sending me to the University of Nebraska Hospital to a Doctor he personally knows that does them. So, once I call and get an appointment, Hopefully, I'll have some less pain for once! His wife, who is his Nurse/Receptionist mentioned those Pain Suckers.....but he said that I'm not ready for those yet. So, I guess I can honestly say that I had good results for once with him actually listening to me! I also found out that I have to see a Psychiatrist no matter what. My GP actually for the first time sent my pain doctor a letter, stating that he wants me to see a Psychiatrist.......because he feels that he is not qualified to handle my needs. But, before I had even found that out, I had gone down to the 3rd floor of the Doctor's building and already talked to the Psychiatrist's Receptionist about getting an appointment and they will call me in a day or two to let me know whether they'll take me as a patient or not. If they don't because I didn't go back to them in March, because of their own screw up.......I won't be too happy!
