Hello Friends,

I just turned 40 this August but everybody tells me I look like Im

in my late 20,s.When I go out with my wife I take my cane to help

steady myself, but I feel like people are looking at me and that

makes my condition worse.I get stiff legged and trip alot more than

usual. My wife says its all in my mind, but I had a woman come by me

the other day in a store and said I was to young to be using a

cane.I told her it wasnt my idea of fun either and just laughed and

went on.Does anybody else have that problem or is it all in my head.

Your Friend;

, My spinal tap its self did not hurt it was over in a few minutes and

they had me lay flat for over an hour. On the way home I started to have

the worst headache I ever had and it lasted three days. What my doctor such of

given me was a blood patch, I think that's what they call it. Others here

have the patch and had no after effect. So I would ask your doctor about the

patch and I would make them do it so you can be free of the headache from

hell. I'm sure others will comment on

theirs........................Flora/Florida

,

I can't count all the tests I have had, but i sure do remember my

LP. The procedure was simple and i had no pain or problems with it

but later sprung a 'leak' and got the headache. So be careful to be

sure you not only lay flat as possible for a day but stay calm - for

lack of a better word. I watched a funny movie and laughed so hard

after mine which caused the leak which caused incredible pain and

discomfort each time i tried to stand for 3, count 'em, 3 weeks!

Good luck,

Colleen

Barb,

If you are going to use the forms in your current breas before you go get fitted be careful as they can easily slip out.

Fw: Questions

Hi & Barb,I'm pretty small on top, so in the winter (after my operation) I wore a vest over my shirt and went without. I don't think it was noticable. Now that summer is coming I have to come up with a better form. I have a lightweight cotton form and a silicone form. The lightweight form rides up unless I have a bra with underwire or a camisole. The silicone form sometimes sags. So I either am lopsided up or down ;-)I have never gotten fitted like nne did, but I think I need to at some point. I've been using my regular camisoles/bras, but I find with the silicone form that I get a rash on my chest when I'm sweating. I guess at some point I have to go through all my bras and figure out which ones work with a form and which ones I have to get rid of.-
