For those of you not yet " officially " diagnosed, it is a very good idea to make sure that you get life and disability insurance prior to having your kidney disease advance. It can prove very important later on. Having been diagnosed with blood and/or protein in the urine WILL definitely make it virtually impossible to get life insurance in the future, and it might make it hard to get disability insurance as well. If you are reading this, you probably have already been diagnosed and it may be too late. In that case, whatever you do, hang on to whatever life and disability insurance policies you might already have, such as through your work or a spouse's work. You might never reach the point of end-stage renal failure, but if you ever do, firstly, due to various factors, your risk of death will be higher than average, and secondly, you will greatly appreciate having good disability insurance! AS A MOTHER, IT ALWAYS MAKES ME NERVOUS WHEN WE GO BACK. HOPEFULLY THE DOCTORS WILL DECREASE THE PREDNISONE TO 9 ML EVERY OTHER DAY. I HOPE SO ANYWAY. SAY A PRAYER FOR US.
