cant sleep

again for the seccond night in a row i can sleep. its like almost 2am, and i cant sleep!

what is wrong with me? *sigh*

Hubby and i had friends over and i drank a bit too much, but now that that wore off, i cant sleep! *sigh* booze makes me sleepy and usaly helps me sleep, but right now i cant take a sleeping pill (drank a bit too much, usualy i dont indulge ths mutch ither!) and well i dont want to get a bad reaction to it..

*sigh* it sucks being on the west coast... all you easties are asleep and no one is realy here from the west coast... *sigh*

Hubby is alseep, and the tv is boring.... as good as it gets is on tv. and im not that intersted...

well somewhat.. now i wish i had a new tv with a timer on it, so i could set it to go off in a hour or so, and i could just close my eyes and try to sleep. but not with my old hunk of junk! LOL!

Well other then this. i hope you all have a good morning when you get up. I hope i can get more sleep tonight (this morning actualy) and tomorow (actualy today!) as last night i only got 3 hours of sleep, spent the day with my dad, it was actualy nice for a change. we talked about a lot of stuff, and he took me out for sushi.. i love sushi, i had a sushimi combo (4 peaces of salmon sushimi, a calafornia role, pice of tuna, piece of salmon, piece of shrimp, and dad added on a extra sushi for me, i forget the name of it! *sigh* ) and ya, was good, had tummy problems last night, though im stopped up today, so that is kinda good... i want to go out for sushi tomorow but hubby probably wont take me.. we are REALY broke.. we have like NO cash at all, and morgage is going to bounce but his dad will lend us the money... Sparky has to get another shot done, and we dont have the money to do that for another month (unless any of you want to buy a scarf off my website! LOL!) and ya... we are giving up the cat finaly. i will be sad to see her go, as she has been around for like 5 years, maby longer with me. but im alergic to her, and the hubby wont clean up after her enough... feal bad for the poor thing.. but oh well!

Im not sure if i realy want her to go. maby i will just get hubby to vacume more often...

well im rambling on and on and on.... *sigh*

1. i crochet, or watch tv, or read, or listen to a story tape,

2. im still kinda watching as good as it gets.

3. yes i listen to music. sometimes christian, somtimes clasical, sometimes a story tape.

4. i dont rember

5. not realy... maby the 1800 bar none comercial

6. i hate having so many people on my buddy list and no one ever messages me!

7. yes, im a word of faith christian

8 i started to go to a word of faith church a year or so back and i just love it.

9 um, hug and cuddle a loved one. pet my dog, go on the net, listen to music, read

Its now 2am. and well, i should be getting some sleep. i went to bed at like 3:30 last night, and woke up 8:30 so i had like 4 and a half hours sleep.. sucked..

Kat, I wish I had some secret solution to getting enough sleep. I

know the doctors all tell you to go to bed at the same time every

night, make sure your bedroom is used only for sleeping (so that means

all that lovey-dovey stuff belongs on the living room sofa or the

kitchen table, LOLOLOL), etc. One thing that lots of people think

help them is an alcoholic drink or a glass of wine but actually they

are stimulants. As far as the other rules about bedtime, leaving the

bedroom just for sleeping, etc...well, none of that works for me. I

have tried them all. So I just do what works for me.

Some nights I can lie down and my body relaxes almost immediately and

sleep comes quickly...I may not sleep for more than an hour though

before I'm up again, though. I read until I am sleepy but I don't

worry about it if I fall asleep with the book lying on my chest or if

the light is left on. I also watch TV...movies, games shows, whatever

catches my eye and when I didn't have a TV that had a timer on it, I

would just use one of the $5.00 lamp timers and set it to turn off

about midnight...usually I would be asleep by then. Now there seems

to be no sure way for me to get to sleep and sleep for more than

several hours at a time...3 hours at a stretch is a very long time for

me. I just attribute it to these DDD diseases. I just roll with the

punches. I've lived all my life in a household where sleeping

patterns were mixed. Is it the diseases...or is it genetics? I

don't know but I just hope that I can rest when I head to bed...hope

Jane & Kat,

I used to have no trouble sleeping, but it's been getting worse over the last few years. I also do whatever works at the time. After a few nights of not enough sleep, I get desperate & take Ambien - usually it works. The last week or so when I finally manage to sleep, it's not good sleep; I wake up over & over, & have nightmares that leave me as tired as if I'd stayed awake. Then of course I walk around work half asleep all day.
