Guest guest
debra, i completely agree with you. i would love to be at my goal in two months, but that's not the healthy way to do it. you can do your body more harm than good losing it too fast. plus you will probably put it back on in the end anyway. i would rather do it the healthy and safe way and keep it off forever by making a lifestyle change. btw, congratulations on your success. i think 40lbs in 4 months is wonderful! :0) melissa > I watched Dr Phil just a few minutes ago because it was a weight loss > challenge show. Guest guest
Dr. Phil's book, in itself, does not promote unhealthy weight loss. It has been reviewed by medical people ( I think the book mentions who, but I remember reading a news article but can't remember who exactly looked at it, like the AMA or someone). Also, you didn't mention how much he weighed to begin with. For someone starting at 500, any diet will probably have large weight losses to start with. And maybe he's just doing it wrong, in which case Dr. Phil should have been concerned with his rapid weight loss and explained why losing rapids amount of weight at once can be dangerous, plus hard to keep off. Since I didn't see the program I am only guessing at the various scenarios that might have been going on with his weight loss... Guest guest
If he started that high a 100 pound loss in four months actually wouldn't be too out of the norm. I'm sure it will slow down now. I bet he's on cloud nine! ~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~'~' Tory Klementsen, MCP A+ Career and Technology Educator www.teechur.com www.msteechur.com -The successful person will do the things that the unsuccessful person will not. > Re: Today's Dr Phil show > > > The man on the show started at 412#s.
