Guest guest
Thanks everyone for all the positive replies on the "sigmoid thing"! I have my appointment next Tuesday and I guess it's a good thing to have it over and done with--- just one more milestone on the "journey" to GBS. I'm hoping to have the last 7 pounds off by the end of January along with all the rest of the tests required. Hopefully, they won't add any more blockades. Thanks again, one and all. This is a great place to come and get support!!!!! Merrie

Guest guest
Thanks, but believe it or not, I had my children before Lamaze was used, had a hysterectomy at 29, and not been back since for any sort of internal exams. A lot of years of building up anxiety! Merrie
Guest guest
I had my first sigmoid (whatever -- they said mine was a colon cancer screening, easier to say) last month. My advice is just relax and breathe, I remembered my Lamaz training (LOL), and listen to the instructions and you'll do fine. You'll probably end up with some air inside that you'll have to " fart " out, but with relaxing it's not too bad. Actualy, I don't think it's much worse than a female exam! > Thanks everyone for all the positive replies on the " sigmoid thing " !
