I honestly would have to ask him how you are to know if your blood sugars

are under control if you don't test. Because extreme highs and extreme lows

can cause some off's in an A1c.

Just an Idea....

You may want to find out about what your insurance covers, and get a meter

that way...

I was in the 200's last January and my doctor didn't tell me to get a

glucometer -- I wish he had. As soon as I got one 2 or 3 months

later, (I just guessed I would get one -- he never told me to) I got

my BS down close to the 120's and felt MUCH better.

Suggest you test until you see how you feel at 120 or lower and try

to maintain it.

Have you tried ssnacking on low fat, low salt popcorn? Doesn't seem

to hurt me, even in large servings. Lowers my morning BS.
