Thanks for your reply. What is concidered " medical

You know, when I look at some of the "before and after" photos on Obesityhelp.com, some of the folks on it are clearly down at a normal weight. Others, seem to still carry quite a bit of extra weight. I don't understand why, if we get the "tool", our weight isn't a factor of the effort we put into it. Does the metabolic rate just slow down significantly...or are our bodies designed so that we can only go so far? I find that puzzling, a bit.

As for me, I've been as low as 138 at this weight...a little too thin at that point, since I'm pretty naturally muscular, and I'm not a small boned person (I'm 5'6"). So...if I get down to 220 or so before the surgery (given the 10 percent requirement), and I'm 50% percent...I'll be 175, and if I'm 80% I'll be about 164? Diane Duenas wrote:

Im not at my ideal weight either. To have a normal BMI I need to be at 120. My personal goal is 135. Right now I bounce between 147 and 150 depending on the time of the month. Dr Fisher doubts I will get down much more than I am now. I have been at this weight for 2 months...so he may be right, but Im gonna try to get as close as I can.Huggles> Thanks ,> I have an appointment with my doctor on 1/15. It can be done, Dutta just said that a successful weight loss was

considered to be fifty to eighty percent of the weight one had to

lose. LaWanda At 12:35 PM 12/19/04, you wrote:
