Guest guest
Dear Barbara, Welcome to the GBIC website and email group! I'm glad you found us. You'll find lots of information, advice, opinions, shoulders to lean on and good, old-fashioned support! I had my WLS (weight loss surgery) four months ago and I am sooo happy that I did! I've lost 76 pounds so far and I feel 1,000 times better than I did four months ago! I am happily married to a wonderful man and we have four little girls, ages 11 - 4 years old. I have a lot more energy now and took a long walk with the girls this afternoon. Major surgery is a big decision and not one to make lightly but I encourage you to investigate, research and find the right surgeon for you and for your husband. You won't regret this decision. Good luck and God bless your richly. Love, Trace in Va. Beach, VA Dr. Schechner, Va. I weighed 315 the morning of surgery and this morning i got on the scale and i now weigh 193 lbs. I was on a plateau for like 2 months, i weighed 200 lbs and couldn't seem to get off of it. I am not a big water drinker, we have well water and have a hard time drinking it so i went to Sams CLub in GrandForks and bought Fruit2-0 and Ice Bitonicls and been drinking more then i have in a long time. Guest guest
{{{{{ Barbara }}}}} I know life is really hard for you now. With four children, ages, 8-2, I'm sure you're exhausted just taking care of them! Life gets better, week by week, after the surgery. It doesn't make the bills magically disappear or make the kids stop squabbling but heck if it doesn't give you (us) a better outlook on life! I also have more energy and stamina! I seem to be losing about a size a month. At 275 I'm not Twiggy by any means but I'm a lot lighter on my feet now that I've lost 76 pounds. Be encouraged, Barbara. The weight comes off quickly and it stays off. You can do this and your time will be here before you know it. ::More Hugs:: Love, Trace
