Guest guest
Goodness, a teenager that's had surgery thats stuck in bed. No wonder you're being run ragged. Hopefully she's get better much sooner. How long did the doc expect it to last?? We'll have to crown you Queen when you make it through all of this and she's on her feet. Hugs, It's just my imagination, running away with me... Guest guest
Warm prune juice.... Re: health diary Christy, I've been trying to keep a "health" diary for a few months. I have a really hard time keeping it up to date. I've been noting anything concerning my health - meds, stress, eating different foods, pain, nausea, how much of my prn meds I take - anything. Maybe if we remind each other I would do better. What do you think? ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here Please visit our website at:http://ACES_Autoimmune.tripod.com Please visit our website at:http://ACES_Autoimmune.tripod.com
Guest guest
She told the doc she wanted to go back to work Saturday (tomorrow) but he told her even before the surgery that she would need 2 weeks to recover. The absolute worst pain is supposed to start tomorrow and last another 5 days according to the doc. He cut some areas but he burned quit a bit with the laser. The burned part has been numb but when the nerve endings begin to heal, she'll be in more pain. He said that should start tomorrow. God help me. Guest guest
It's gonna hurt the first time, no matter what, but probably not as bad as she thinks. I did that to myself following Kayly's birth--someone told me I wouldn't be allowed to go home until the bowels moved, so I lied to the nurse and figured I'd deal with it at home rather than an enema. Ouch! To my mind a Fleets enema (as annoying as it is to do) is much preferable to any kind of laxative. A laxative will give you horrible cramps and cleans out the whole system when you only need to get started. Of course with my IBS I always avoid laxatives and avoid immodium as much as I can, too. There just is no reason to upset your entire GI system when all you need is to clean out the last 6-10 inches.
