Guest guest
Hi Maggie, It was nice to meet you and Ann last night. I had my first consult with Dr. Baggs and as we discussed my surgery I asked if he was going to do the actual deed and he said if I wanted him to then yes but if I wanted some one else then no problem. So I'd say YES ask for someone else if you are feeling uncomfortable with Dr Fisher. I love Dr Baggs and I haven't heard anything negitive about Dr Parks. Cheers! Guest guest
Hi Maggie...and Anne, There is nothing wrong with Doctor Fisher. All the docs at Richmond are top notch and you will find as you go along your way on your journey, you will find there's no shortage of opinions (about anything) that are shered in group meetings as well as here on the site. I would reccomend that you keep your appointment with Doctor Fisher and discuss your concerns with him. I'm sure you will find him amiable. I requested Doctor Fisher based on my research but he was out for some surgery himself at the time which would have delayed my own surgery so I opted to see Doctor Baggs for my consult. Doctor Baggs is great and Doctor Fisher will more than likely assist him should I decide to go ahead with the bypass anyway. As I said, I would have no problem with either one. As a side note, the complications the individual spoke of last night last night are certainly the exceptions and I think she was trying to let everyone know that there are risks to this major surgery. I don't believe that she was directing her comments to Doctor Fisher. Welcome to the group. I look forward to hearing about your journey. Regards, Gordy -45# > > Hi All.... > I'm new to this group. Guest guest
And just what is wrong with suggesting prayer? (Rhetorical) I am comforted by those things. I guess others may not be but it is nice to be reminded. pre-op Richmond > Just wanted to add my two cents as well.
