Guest guest
Flora & Doug, Thanks for the update. Human spirit does prevail, but enough is enough, and Ivan can just " peter-out " all by himself in the middle of the ocean!!! Enough is enough. Take care, Laurel ----- Original Message -----

Guest guest
Hi Betty and Ike, I know your email was to Flora and Doug but lots of us who know you have been wondering and hoping that you'd surface soon. Craig and I talked a lot about you guys the other night so I'm sure glad you got off fairly well. We're all hoping and praying that Ivan won't like Florida and just ... do whatever .... anything other than show up. Gentner Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much. Guest guest
Hi Flora & Doug, We are back home, after ten days in Knoxville, TN. Took us eight (8) hours to get to Gainesville up I-75, usually three hours from here! This was at noon on Thursday.....No motel rooms on I-75 thru Georgia, steayed on road 13 hours, followed by 12 hours next day.....finally got to Knoxville, had a great visit with old friends When to come home? Left Knoxville Thursday (9/9/04) no unusal traffic on I-75 going South. Arrived home to no telephone but house was in tact, thank thank the Lord, had not lost water or electric, some houses lost some shingles, many trees and bushes. All together we faired VERY WELL. Now we are awaiting the arrival of Ivan, Ike had not unpacked van! We are ready to go if need be. More later. Betty M. Ayers

You are a lovely couple!!! We are all praying for Ivan to NOT visit any of you in Florida! I am so happy you only lost your phone and that was all from the last hurricane. Well take care and BE SAFE and glad you are packed and ready to get out if necessary!! Hugs, Sue Me > We are back home, after ten days in Knoxville, TN.
