I'm still upset about that because I'm sure having them there would have made me feel more comfortable. I didn't scream today, but I did keep telling myself, " Relax, . You're okay. I think they are probably as in the dark as the rest of us, and even if it said, " We want this CT done to make sure she doesn't have purple hair " , they wouldn't be allowed to tell you anyway, because of secrecy dictates in the medical business. But you might get lucky, and have someone slip and say, " Why, the Dr. ordered it, and I'm just following orders " . Good luck with the CT scan. Shall I have a mocha waiting for you? I had Cushings Syndrome & had left adrenal gland taken out in 1991, dx with alot of things since, 2003 dx hypothyroid, then at the end of 2008 dx prediabetes and chronci pancreatitis.. I don't know but would say my endocrine system is messed up from the Cushing or only having one adrean gland.. My question is : Is there anyway to know what gland would go next? Is ther any kind of test to find out? I believe most/all tests only show problems after there is a problem [of course]. Perhaps a full panel of tests _might_ identify some organ in the early stages of disease but I don't know. So, I'm wondering if there is a kind of schedule of some sort of which gland affects which & how much and a time factor of which gland will go next? That is why the associated physical conditions tell you which organs could be next.
