Guest guest
Hi (and all), On days like that ("fat" days) it helps to pull out my "before" pictures. I also keep one dress (size 32) to try on. Then I *see,* clearly, how much weight I have lost. I have this one picture that I use for my "before" pic, that I look at a lot. I remember that day. It was one week before surgery. I was wearing my favorite dress, posing in front of lovely flowers on a sunny day. I *thought* I looked great. Now all I can see in that picture is the pain of being locked in a fat body. I'm not at goal. I'm at the place where I really have to work to maintain and even (gasp) lose. But I am not the woman in front of those flowers. And for that I am thankful. It always helps to remember the starting point of our journey. I hid from cameras for most of my adult life. Now I am glad I have those fat pictures. It reminds me how important it is to "do the do's". Laurie W. Long term Post ops..Help...Martha, Gem, Eleanor, anyone!! HiQuestion: Did you or do you ever still have what I call "fat" days. Days you still feel obese? My heart and my eyes tell me Ive suceeded and lost 160 pounds, but days like today when I look in the mirror I still feel fat. I dont like this roll or that sag or my butt still looks huge or whatever!! What do you do to pull yourself out of it? I know Ive done a great job, Ive gone from 315 to 148!! I weigh less than what Ive lost but there are days I still dont like how I look! Thankfully these kinda days are rare...most of the time I thouroughly appreciate my new body. Sigh, advice anyone?!Huggles
