Guest guest
Sorry to hear about the problems. Want to talk about it? I'm here. At least I have a valid excuse now to not attend Tina's wedding: I'll be having my endoscopy done the same day hehehe Problem solved. Christy Thank you, SS I had a surprise waiting when I got home yesterday - a shamrock! It's a beautiful amber & sterling silver pin;; I'll wear it to work today so everyone can see it. It will remind me that someone cares, & I need that today (more Amy problems). SS, thank you so much! BTW, my SS shops at one of my favorite stores - Gear That Gives! Guest guest
Christy, I am really behind the times. What's this bit about Tina's wedding? Did she get her act together after she moved to Sylvester and decide that it was time to settle down and be an adult? , I know you have had something going on between you and Amy for several months. Is there anything that any of us here at ACES can do to give you a boost so you don't have to carry the load alone except for ? I am so sorrry that you are still having disagreements. It is so frustrating when you know that one of your children is making a bad decision. Sometimes the only thing you can do is take a step back and just say to them that you don't like what they are doing, but you will be there for them when they come to their senses. I'll remember , you and Amy and her husband and hope you can get your differences ironed out. Christy, if there is anything you want to talk about, b/c me and I'll call you. I will also be sending prayers and special thoughts to you, Ronnie, and ...and to Tina that she will make a go of her marriage and become a responsible adult. Love to both of you, Jane Thank you, SS I had a surprise waiting when I got home yesterday - a shamrock! Guest guest
Nope, She's marrying the boyfriend she's been with since high school here. Actually his mother is the one I blame for Tina's eventual downfall. She was doing so well at that group home in , sharing a beautiful new 5 bedroom house with 3 other girls and a housemother. She was in school and thinking about college, she had a job and was learning to manage money and buy groceries, etc This guy's mother went to and signed my name to papers having Tina released. Tina was almost 17 and could have walked out on her own then so we decided against legal action. Tina moved in with the boyfriend and his mother and step father. 6 months later the mom decided she wanted to be a truck driver and they moved to Washington state leaving the trailer to be repossessed and Tina and homeless. They then went to Dallas, GA to live with 's brother and his wife. After 3 months, they threw them out and they moved from place to place apparently scamming people for free rent, etc. After 2 years in Dallas, Tina (who had been calling me for the last 3 months "just to see how I was doing"... can we all say SUCKER?) lost her job, was beaten up at work (by the jealous boyfriend of a co-worker) and they were being "forced" to leave their apartment (which happens when you don't pay the bills!) So mommy dearest (dumbest?) paid for her to move back down here and she shows up with boyfriend in tow! They called me a couple of months ago (yeah they can afford a phone now too!) and wanted me to pay for their marriage license since they didn't have the $21.00. No thanks. Now someone else is "paying for the wedding" and giving them a reception. I was talking to a friend of mine about how out of place I would feel there (feeling like I should have contributed SOMETHING as "mother of the bride" and she suggested I just introduce myself as the "birth mother" LOL I guess that let's me off the hook hehehe That's it in a nutshell.
