Guest guest
The scope won't mess up your pouch or your weight loss. The ulcer that you may be developing will mess up your pouch and possibly your life if you don't get it taken care of soon enough. I'm sure some of the others will chime in about ulcer experiences. I just read a very bad experience with an ignored ulcer in another group that almost killed the woman before she paid attention to what was happening to her. She was bleeding to death internally, before she went to the doctor about the ulcer. So go get scoped and find out for sure what is going on. It won't harm your pouch and could save you a lot of grief in the long term. PatC (decided to add the " C " since I am not the only Pat in the group, even though I mostly only lurk.) > No scope.Do you really think this is anecessary step??I am so afraid that it > will mess up my wgt loss if they go in there and mess with my pouch??? > > > > > >
Guest guest
Just get the ulcer dx so you can take the pills & get over it. I don't think you're stenosed at this late date. I think Marginal ulcer. But, of course, I can't SAY it. Guest guest
It's not working for ya. You might need 40mg X 3. And carrafate at night. You're Husted, right? So, pretty distal. You need way more than the average person walking down the street cuz we're us, for one, and cuz it's timed release. And of course, it might not be The One for you. I was taking 600mg Zantac, but had marginal ulcer anyway. Just wasn't working on my postie pouch. Guest guest
, it sounds like you might be having the beginning of an ulcer, which simply needs meds to heal. But they can't diagnose it without a scope. Two clues - pain and water tastes metallic Pam in Niceville Re: Having trouble with tolerating protein foods/Mom No scope.Do you really think this is anecessary step??I am so afraid that it will mess up my wgt loss if they go in there and mess with my pouch??? Guest guest
..... Please listen to what " mom " is saying about getting the scope. My " real " time mom let it lack for 4/5 months and has been sick ever day since her surgery. WELL come to find out she had a blockage not good thing to let happen. She is still having more problems and I think its cause she let problem go on too long. Blockage is fixed but now her stomach doesn't want to digest anything when she eats it sits there in her stomach doesn't do anything, so when she tries and eats 3 - 4-5 hrs later her tummy is still full cause it hasn't digested.... until they give her this one kind of medication ..... " Don't ask cause I forgot the name of it already " . Old Timers setting in. But again Please Please don't let it go on too long! You did this for your health now lets fight to keep your health healthy. hugs and loves... Guest guest
OK - I'm another source saying - get it checked! Right this very minute - I'm arranging for my leave of absence from work to have a repair of a marginal ulcer. It is bleeding. I'm anemic from the blood loss and just generally - don't feel well. A scope is a piece of CAKE! Get it checked! Susie
Guest guest
Prilosec is not as strong as you may think. Anything is possible, but never think the worst til you have to. If it's not working for you, there's stronger meds! (NC) still waiting for surgery >>> jnellabrownrn@... 01/06/03 01:08 AM >>>
