Guest guest
Oh ! I'm sorry to hear aboutt he pap smear and the breast exam! Jeez, they're hitting you from all ends aren't they? I'm here if you need to vent! It has to be hard to deal with. How's handling it? playing in the dirt; pap results I've been outside a little today - moved my lavender plant from a pot to the ground, & moved my new dill plant to a real pot. Our grass needs to be cut, & is determined to do it, so I'll try to get outside first (it's getting cooler now) & at least help. I don't feel like doing it, but I don't feel like nursing through another heart attack either. Last year we paid a teenager down the street to cut grass, but hasn't given in yet this year. My Pap smear was Class II again. The HPV isn't back yet, but my doc says I have to have a biopsy regardless of the HPV result. I get Remicade Tues, then have the colposcopy Wed - I have a fun week ahead of me. & did I tell you that I have to go in for more studies because my mammogram showed spots on both breasts? That's scheduled for Memorial Day. I have had stomach, back, & sometimes leg cramps & aches for about a week now. I'm down to 9.5 mgs. pred, too. I think if it doesn't get better after the Remicade (assuming I can tell these cramps from the cramps I'll have after the colposcopy), I'll email my GI doc. Does that sound reasonable? I figure she'll send me for X-Rays & CT to see if the stricture is worse. Right now, I think if there's anything else wrong with me I just don't want to know. Hope everyone is enjoying nice weather. ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here Please visit our website at:http://ACES_Autoimmune.tripod.com
Guest guest
Christy, is not handling this well at all. He's worried & convinced that I'll have to have a hysterectomy. He's doing his over protective thing. I'm handling the pap & breast things pretty well, but the stomach pain is getting me down. I'm grumpy & irritable & it's just because I hurt. The pain's not all that bad, just almost constant. One night I even dreamed of cramping all night. Poor ! he's has to live with me & if I have to stop my hormones it'll get worse. Ditto if I have to increase the pred. & I are just trying to take care of each other. We're too young to be old! Between us, we got the grass cut. I planted a few more herbs even got a start on my mint ground cover path that I dream of having between the flowers. Hugs, -- Re: playing in the dirt; pap results Oh ! Guest guest
Dawn, I try to check my plants daily & water them if they're getting dry. I really like it when it rains, so I don't have to water. got a neat hanging basket at the Farmers' Market today (I encouraged him to get it). It has a cherry tomato plant, a basil plant, & a cucumber plant. They'll grow in the basket & he'll have everything but the lettuce for his salad. I never had a colposcopy before; not looking forward to it, but I want to get it over. Doc told me to take 2 tylenol before my appt, & plan to come home & put my feet up (I asked about going to work). That's why I scheduled it for Wed. I had already planned to be off work because of getting Remicade Tues.; I have those "flu-like symptoms" after Remicade & seem to do better if I take the next day to rest. This way I won't have to miss more work - I'm running out of PTO, & I'll have the rest of the day to spoil myself. I have fibrocystic breasts. I usually have to go back for more X-Rays or ultrasound or something, just not usually both breasts at the same time. I'm not worried about that, mostly annoyed at having to take time out of my life for it. We're going to visit our mothers over Memorial Day weekend, & this means we'll have to leave TN early Mon morning instead of late afternoon; but if I scheduled for a different day I'd miss at least 1/2 day work. Our office is closed Memorial Day, but the Women's Clinic is open. -- Re: playing in the dirt; pap results Sounds like another tough week for you. (hugs) Good job on getting the lavendar plant in the ground,I have a bunch of stuff that I need to get in & keepjust watering the pots & putting it off. Make sure youwater it often til the shock of being in the groundwears off. I nearly killed a few thinking they onlyneeded water every three days. Found out my mistake atthe local extension office this week. Good luck withthe colpo & mammogram. Hopefully the mamogram stuffwill just be cysts or something benign. I will thinkgood thougths for you. I had to have a colpo for thesame reason years ago....not fun but it all turned outokay after awhile. Have you had one before? Take care, dawn ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here
