My husband is taking 1,000 mg. morning and evening and his BS is still in the 300s. Looks like this might not be the right Rx for him. He's feeling a little better since our return from our trip and plans to ride the bike today. I've ordered a new, more comfortable seat for it, so that should help both of us. He'll fax a copy of his BS numbers to his Dr. in a few weeks and we'll see what Dr. wants to do about the 300 numbers. This just can't continue. Guest guest
Hi Amber, I have been watching your posts n all about your hubby and also think his doctor should maybe prescribe something like avandia , amaryl, or another fast-acting blood sugar lowering med along with the metforim..just MY opinion... sure it takes time for metforim to work but it sounds like he feels so bad my heart goes out to him..and I know you know if sugars stay high, that's when damage is done. I would call and make another appt ASAP to get him back to the doctor. It sure couldn't hurt:)) He is in my thoughts and prayers.. I'll print it off and let Bob read it. Amber
