I was really surprised when someone brought it up. I have gone to

see if anyone was there and found myself alone. I would be

interested in logging on if there was a day and time set. Take care

when is a good time for people to meet in the chat room? anytime in

the evening/night (EST) is good with me (for the most part) ... i'm

sorta convinced that there is something strange with the chat room --

do you really think with almost 1000 members NO ONE is EVER in the

room at the same time??? very odd i say, very odd .... !

I'm available for chat almost any evening into late night.... tragic but

true... I'm home a lot and not sleeping much... sound familiar? LOL

I must have a dinosaur of a laptop = no sound, so I don't seem to be able to

get into the room... maybe I'm doing something wrong. But would

love to chat in real time

others have typed in order to chat; ie, I don't thing it's essential to have

voice and sound capabilites on your computer in order to participate in the chat

- though I must confess that I'm not sure how that's handled. I did participate

I'm sorry I didn't stay on. I checked in shortly before 10 Central and

nobody there, so I left. I was hoping people would still be on when I got

home from a track meet. I can't wait for the next one.

Both Robynn and Myself............set up specific times, and we would host

the chat room............unfortunately..........In the beginning it was

active.......but then I found myself sitting there most of the time alone.

So the best way to chat, is to post on the newsgroup, you are in the chat

room and would like to chat..........and perhaps others will join you.

The activity level of the chat room depends on the members of Lyme Aid. If

members want to chat, and arrange to chat, the chat room would be more

active. I don't believe there's anything one individual can do to make a

chat room more active.

Sometimes the chat room has problems. I haven't used the room lately

so I have no idea how bad the situation is. (Sometimes it just takes using

the " refresh " key to get you in.) This is out of my control.

provides the chat room with the group. This entire service is free so

service can have " issues " at times.

If someone wants to take up the cause, and the cost, of finding a more

reliable chat service, that would be fine with me.

In the meantime, if you would like to take up scheduling and hosting chats,

that would be wonderful! Let me know if I can help you with this goal.

No, I don't think chat rooms support Apple OSs.

You're not missing anything right now anyway. I haven't been able to get the

chat room to work for me for a few days now. I have asked for help with

this situation, but have not yet received a response.

IF the chat room issue ever gets resolved I will start holding regularly

scheduled chats.

Currently Lyme Disease Audio holds a chat every Saturday starting at 8pm EST

Regarding Macs and Lyme chat rooms: I have a mac and was able to use a

saturday Lyme chat, perhaps the same one that Robin mentions here.

did you get on the 'lyme disease audio " earlier? I did and found it very

informative. If you did, what nickname did you use? there were a lot of people

How about if we try to set up a chat session for Mon the 8th at 8:30

EST.That would give more people time to find out we want to do it.I

think it would be fun to have a live chat session instead of just

In the column on the left side of the page click on where it says

Chat and it wil take you to the chat room.

I just got home after a wonderful day on the coast...I had over 150 messages!

So, this issue may have been addressed.

I have not read all my messages.

But, in regard to the chat room...there is a room for lime on Brain Chat.

I believe the address is <A HREF= " www.brainchat.org " >www.brainchat.org</A>, but

I will need to double check.

I would be nice if we could set up a time to chat...say 5 PM PST or 8 EST.
