I have a little guy that is currently be evaluated for a Mito Disorder.

We are waiting his muscle biopsy enzyme test results. The Doc stated

that if he does have mito that I need to consider the possible source,

me.

I posted a questions few weeks ago about my fatigue, muscle aches,

migraines, intestinal distress, cold intolerance, and " protein

allergies " . We won't do tests on me until we get Spencers results.

They are just suspecting an initial mild, high functioning mito

condition with me at this point.

I now want to know if my mouth condition could be part of the package.

About 2.5 months ago, my lips and tip of tongue became numb and

hypersensitive to taste, particularly spicy hot foods that weren't

really spicy at all. Mothers Day I couldn't eat the asparagus because

it tasted like my mother poured tabasco sauce over them. Everyone else

thought they were fine. There have been other occasions I couldn't eat

something because it was too bitter or too salty.

In the meantime, the numb burning sensation worked its way back through

my mouth to my throat. The Doc tested me for various things that have

burning mouth as a symptom. All tests were normal. One of my web

searches came up with " burning mouth " syndrome in post menapausal

women. I am not post menapausal. I am regular (sorry guys). Besides

I have a 15 month old baby so that would have to have been a fast

onset. =)

Any ideas?! Is this a familiar symptom mito symptom to any of you? If

so, what helps? My lips are constantly on fire feeling chapped. The

inside of my mouth constantly feels like I drank or ate something too

hot and burned my mouth.

Thanks for the assist.

Bec
