Dave -- that's me exactly! Actually if I only smiled that'd help but I start laughing when we were playing Hearts and I'd get the Queen of Spades passed to me....so I tried playing online and, of course, I didn't laugh when a " non-person " passed it to me. Now when someone in the family asks if I want to play cards, I just say no, I'd rather not. Gentner

Gee , I want to play Hearts with you. In person, with money on the table! You sound like the kind of Hearts player I could actually beat! I am so bad at Hearts. My hubby says you just need to know how to count. Well, I can count, I just can't remember what has been played. But I keep trying, hoping that my memory will improve if I keep at it. So far, no such luck. Think I can blame my bad memory on PLS??? Thomson Hey, I have a new saying: " Life is not about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself. " - Bernard Shaw I'm always recreating myself. I wonder if that counts?
Guest guest
, I will let it count. I believe we all should " recreate " ourselves frequently. This takes some time, though, and the ability to actually think about it. If we try to do it automatically, we end up doing about the same things we always did. As for blaming your memory on PLS, go ahead. I cannot quote the research off the top of my head, like I used to, but there has been some research done (2 studies with a small number of subjects in each.) that shows that upper neuron deterioration does affect memory. This definitely includes PLS. Whatever I was saying, you know, right? At the symposium there was a discussion about this very thing.
