Hi Geoff,

Have you read this article on

Bromelain...very interesting

www.thorne.com.altmedrev/fulltext/bromelain1-4.html

Also...the other day the orther Jeff

emailed something about the results of

the testing being done with bovine

collagen for SD.It did not come through

however.Do you know anything.After 4

years on assorted forms of AP my SD is

getting worse not better and anything at

this point looks better than large doses

of MTX. Lynne

Geoff,

Do we need to set up and agree to house rules to remove certain types of

treatment from discussion?

The following is the description of rheumatic as stated on

the page

rheumatic/

" Description: Discussion on the use of long term low dosage of antibiotics

for the treatment of auto-immune diseases such as Scleroderma, Lupus,

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, Polymyositis,

Dermatomyositis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, and Reiter's

Syndrome. "

I think that " low dosage of antibiotics for treatment of auto-immune

diseases " is too narrow a topic to provide a full picture.

I posted this when I first learned of it, but it is worth repeating.

Bromelain causes minocycline to be excreted from the body much more quickly

and therefore does not seem to be a good choice to use if you're on the AP.

This information came from the reference book of a pharmacist.
