Guest guest
Jane, I hope you're feeling better today and I hope your mom is feeling better too. Maybe with her problems and your pain levels, the two just rubbed you the wrong way. I know it's hard to be understanding of those who have no clue how we actually feel. Hang in there. , when? Never. After 2 days of working in the yard, even though Ronnie and did the heavy stuff and planting, I still had to get my hands dirty and bend over things, kneel down, pull weeds, etc. so now I'm suffering. Well, Ronnie and were "verti-cutting" the front yard after he got home tonight. I decided to get online and had just gotten started good when came in to tell me to get dressed because we were going out to eat after they finished working and got cleaned up. So, already hurting THEN starting my period today (which is kicking my BUTT this time... unusual!) what did I do? I went to lie down for about 30 minutes, cried my heart out, put on a new pain patch, popped a vicodin and got dressed. What SHOULD I have done? Stayed in bed and told them to bring me a burger! GRRRRRRRR I knew if I didn't go, they wouldn't go. Then they would stay home fussing over me all night. As it is, we went out, now Ronnie is off to bed and in her room on the phone and no one is any wiser. Ummmm except me... now that the vicodin is wearing off. We'll never learn! Re: Jane Checking In-DAY 2 I have really paid for my over doing on Friday and yesterday. My son and DIL left today about 11 and I have spent the day resting. My legs and back were both to the point that when I tried to get up during the night that my legs almost collapsed under me. Luckily I was able to grab the end of the bed. I knew I was going to be in for trouble after preparing the main meal yesterday because the numbness in the legs was more intense and extensive than usual. We had a wonderful visit with the family but the stress and work together laid me out good this time. I guess the key word now is REST.
