Guest guest
I usually struggle during December. I just can't resist the goodies they bring to work during the 12 [working] days before Christmas. Sometimes they bring healthy [for me] stuff like meat or protein stuff or vegies, but almost every day someone had cookies or candy. Sometimes I filled a small plate with the good things, an set it aside for my lunch, but not always. And the worse thing is, I let myself eat this stuff between meals, instead of drinking my water. So, I not only ate more calories, I didn't get in my full amount of water. The past two weeks have shown . . . I gained a whole 2 1/2 pounds the past two weeks! Oh, well, it would have been a lot more if I hadn't kept up my exercise. Thankfully (for me), I don't " do " Christmas; we don't have any leftover Christmas foods, and I'm all done with Chanukah (it was early this year), so I can get back on track. I'm here at my computer sipping my " hot chocolate " made with hot water, a few Equal tablets and a little Davinci sugar free chocolate syrup. (I don't like tea and I've sworn off coffee, because even decaf has a little caffiene that bothers me.) Hubby & I went to see " Polar Express " in 3D at the I-Max theatre this afternoon. It was marvelous effects, but if you don't like roller coasters like me, just be aware to close your eyes during those sequences, because they were very realistic. My 50 year old stomach (actually my motion sense) got a little queasy during those sequences. Nothing to do with my WLS, I have always gotten a queasy feeling in my gut during falling type scenes on the big screen at the movies. However, the rest of the movie was very touching, sentimental and well done. And at the movies, I don't eat anything, I just buy a bottle of water and let my hubby devour his own popcorn. Well, to all of you, I hope this holiday season has been good to you, and not too tempting in the bad food or bad habits. Peace to all, and Shalom too! --Sandi H. Guest guest
Hi Sandi, your day sounds like it was good, and your entire season sounds like it wasn't too bad. I think that everyone, even normies, tend to slip a little bit around this time of year. The difference now is that, hopefully, after December's folly we will be able to get back to business as usual now that the season is over. I just know that you will be able to get back to it now, and those pounds will quickly disappear. LaWanda At 05:12 PM 12/25/04, you wrote: >I usually struggle during December.
