Guest guest
Mom went to see the second doctor today and she does indeed have cancer of the lung...slow moving cancer and for now they are leaving it alone. Because of her age, surgery would be hard on her, the tumor is small, and it's not causing her any major problems. However, the doctor does suspect she has the cancer in her bones. Next week she will be going to have radioactive dye shot into her veins and from what I understood from mom (and I know I am going to say this all wrong), the dye will pool into the areas that have the cancer and it will show up on an x-ray as to how far into the bones the cancer is. Now, please bear in mind that when mom explained this to me earlier, she was a bit confused, so I will be talking to my sister who was there with her for her appt. today (as was my other sister and brother) and find out exactly what happened. She was upbeat and refused to believe that she will be anything less then okay. In my heart I know she will be too...she has to be. If you look up stubborn in the dictionary, you'll find mom's name beside the definition. Anyway...I just thought I'd pass along the news. You all have been so great in prayer for her and being so supportive while I get through this along with every thing else. Tonight I will ask God to watch over her and keep her safe. I will ask Him to comfort her if she's scared and I will ask Him. And while she's sleeping, I will ask that He hold her tight. Love you all, Donna H.
