Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I keep hearing about this 3, 6 and 9-month die-off, and I’ve read some examples of what regression looks like on this list, but I still have some questions. My daughter has been SCD compliant for over 3 months now, but in the last 3 weeks has shown progressive regression. I thought it was because her speech & language preschool class ended and she was forgetting some of what she learned. In addition to her verbal sentences being jumbled and her writing skills deteriorating (she used to make clear S’s and now she’s back to squiggly lines), her comprehension and ability to follow multiple commands seems to be worse, and her tantrums are inconsolable. A simple “Not right now, maybe later” will send her through the roof. Also she has been making lots of non-sensical, baby jabbering sounds. Then there are the mood swings. Anyway, my questions are, does this sound like a die-off reaction? If it is, would it last 3 weeks? Or is it more likely to be the absence of school? Has anyone else’s child regressed after being out of school for a while? Lastly, I would love it if someone could describe some typical die-off reactions, especially if there are any specific to the various “milestones”. I should also mention that, to my knowledge, my daughter has never had yeast or bacterial issues and no constipation or diarrhea. Thanks so much! 4 ¾ year old ASD daughter, SCD 3 months, GFCFSF 10 months
