Guest guest
<< Hi, My derm gave me some samples of this back in December. For a month or so it seemed to work really well. Seemed to calm down the redness a bit. Since that time, though, I've found it to be a bit irritating. It's hard to say if that's because of the soap or other factors that contribute to my skin problems or just a progression of the seb/derm and rosacea. I think it's worth a try, though. It might really work for some people. I think you're supposed to use it at least twice a week. By the way, if anyone wants to talk about seb/derm and rosacea feel free to email me off the list or on the list. I would really like to hear what other people's experiences have been in coping with these two problems together. Tim>> Hi, Tim - I have both of these problems - and have tried the ZNP in the past. I found I could not use it, though. It was drying in the extreme for me, and irritating, too, over a period of time. I now use Nizoral shampoo a couple of times a week - I lather up and leave it on for a bit, then bring it down over my seb derm areas on my face (hairline, forehead, nose-folds on me) and let it sit for a minute or so. I seems to work well for me and I have had no problems from irritation. The shampoo is OTC as of a few months ago. There is also a Nizoral cream, but it is by 'script only. When I have a very bad flare of seb derm, it usually is worse in my nose-folds. A bit of the cream applied there for a couple of days clears it easily. Good luck! Let us know if you find releif. I hope this helps! Jackie
