Guest guest
I was wondering if anyone has experienced increased anxiety while trying to detoxify the body of candida? My problems all started back in January. After a series of laser acupuncture treatments to rid my body of heavy metals and while taking several anti-candida meds and following an anti-candida diet, I started experiencing severe and chronic anxiety attacks. They are getting so bad that I am becoming terrified to leave the house. However, I refuse to become a shut-in and I continually push myself to go places. They seem to really get me while driving, especially on the expressway. Because of this I am only driving locally and am letting my hubby do the expressway driving. I hate this! I love to drive on the expressway and do not like to depend on other people. The longer this continues the more scared I am becoming. And I am well aware that fear of having an anxiety attack can bring on another. I am very familiar with panic disorder as I have had problems with it throughout my life. But I was always able to manage before and keep it under control. I take extra care to manage stress these days so as to prevent this problem from getting out of control. Was taking Paxil for it for about a year but weaned off of it per my doctor's instructions. I have noticed a direct correlation between detoxing and increased anxiety. Lately, I have been experiencing constipation and feel so awful when my body is unable to eliminate on a daily basis. Per the advise of my doctor, I have started doing coffee enemas every other day to assist my body. I normally feel wonderful after these enemas. I almost feel like my body is rid of all the junk that is causing my nervous system to go haywire. And the anxiety seems to diminish drastically afterwards. So I think there is a link between the yeast toxins and the anxiety. However, I have also noticed that I get very anxious when I am obsessing about my health. This too can bring about an attack in me. I routinely meditate, pray, and do EFT (Emotional Freedom Therapy) for this. I feel so frustrated right now. The candida is starting to go away, I can see it. The rash on my face is disappearing, the thrush is going away, and I have so much more energy. In my heart I know that I am close to ridding my body of the candida! I think I am herxing, going through a healing crisis. My doctor told me that he has noticed a big improvement too. I just don't think I have the strength to continue to struggle with the anxiety that is going along with the detox. Can anyone relate to what I have just described? Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Suzanne
Guest guest
Hi Sue;Have you analyzed the products that you are taking?Everything has a side effect, some worse than others.I have been using 1 teaspoon of Chlorella daily for years and have absolutely no yeast problems and it detoxyfies also.About 6 months before getting the DX of scleroderma my miuth was absolutely white,I could not taste and the nausea was scary.Whether it was the chlorella or the methotrexate that fixed the problem I do not know but I take just one teaspoon daily just in case. You can find quite a bit of info online. Guest guest
Hi group, Lynne suggested that I send a listing of all the vitamins and supplements I take to her to see if there may be any negative interactions between them. She also suggested that I send a copy to the group to see if anyone else had any insights. I am experiencing some pretty severe anxiety attacks lately and I am wondering if part of the problem may be some negative interactions between supplments and vitamins. I am detoxing my body for candida and am finally starting to get the upper hand; however, I am experiencing some terrible anxiety and wonder if this is all just a herxing reaction or something more. Any comments or suggestions are welcome. Thanks so much. Suzanne
Guest guest
Hi Suzanne! Geoff here. (May 29) > I was wondering if anyone has experienced increased anxiety > while trying to detoxify the body of candida? Yes. This is fairly common due to the rebalancing of your body chemistry. Severity varies by individual but eases and passes after a time. Duration depends on the severity and depth of the problem, overall health and steps taken to purge the toxins. Ex: drinking copious amounts of clean, filtered water can help, as can few, small, light vegan-type meals, mostly raw and without spice or seasoning, etc. > My problems all started back in January. After a series of laser > acupuncture treatments to rid my body of heavy metals and > while taking several anti-candida meds and following an > anti-candida diet, I started [snip] You may have taken on too much, too fast. Generally, it is wise to do these things singularly over time and to give yourself time to adjust and stabilize before taking on the next foe. This tends to make the battles less severe, but prolongs the war. The question is balance: If you have the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual strength and stamina to fight the entire war at one time without reinforcement or resupply, then you can do it all at once. If your reserves are limited in _any_ way, then you must limit your battles to those you can manage effectively at any given time. Cost must NOT be the factor in these decisions; it does little good to save money if it costs your life. > I hate this! I... do not like to depend on other people. > The longer this continues the more scared I am becoming. There are two strong spiritual components here: (1) mandated dependence; and (2) fear of anything but the second death. You may, or may not, wish to explore those. > The candida is starting to go away, I can see it. The rash on > my face is disappearing, the thrush is going away, and I have > so much more energy. Obviously good signs! > I just don't think I have the strength to continue to struggle > with the anxiety [snip] That depends on from where your strength comes.
