Guest guest
About 45 years ago after her third pregnancy & birth, my older sister (now 69yo) was super sick & finally found a good thyroid doctor. After a year or so on thyroid she said it started functioning again by itself & she hasn't had any problems since then & no more medications needed. I asked her if she was on Armour. She said she didn't remember so could have been on a synthetic. But I doubt it because her transformation back to her normal self was quite evident for all to see. Wondering if Armour can help the thyroid start re-functioning for some people as it did for my sister. C Re:Tish/ Synthroid and Armour? You are welcome. Just hang in there. It can take quite some time to get properly adjusted. It's really hard for medicine to be as good as nature. Tish
Guest guest
I'm guessing she was on Armour too as it was about 45 years ago. From what my own symptoms were back then during & after my childbirths, I prolly should have been on it myself but never was even given any blood tests for it by my doctors. C Re: Re:Tish/ Synthroid and Armour? Caroline, the TSH became available in the 1970's, around 1975 I heard somebody say in a previous post. That is also around the time that T4 supplements became available. Before that, it was Armour if I'm not mistaken. My guess would be that if your sister was given thyroid medication, then it would have most likely been Armour back then.
