Guest guest
Sam would never eat Kiwi, but it is supposedly low and makes good jelly that tastes alot like strawberry! We do well with papaya. Our Whole Foods sells it frozen in chunks and we use it in smoothies. They also have frozen mango. I like not having cut these, since I still can't figure out how to get all the meat off a mango! LOL Sam would never eat these by themselves, but loves them in smoothies. good luck Chrystee > I want to expand Abby's diet a little since we've actually done this a total of over 4 months. Anyone have problems with Kiwi's when their kid's are salicylate sensitive? She's very sensitive but have been using mango, pear, and pomegranate forever. I know I should scoop out the seeds but any other advice on fruits to try? She still cannot handle pineapple. > Thanks, > Kathy > Hannah and Abby's mom > >
Guest guest
Hi, Thanks! I will try the kiwi and also try to make jelly. We have no jelly to use now, only cashew butter and honey on top of pancakes. That sounds good. My WFS doesn't sell the papaya but I do buy the mango and it is great for smoothies! Take care, Kathy > Sam would never eat Kiwi, but it is supposedly low and makes good > jelly that tastes alot like strawberry! > > We do well with papaya. Guest guest
We tried kiwi once. Won't do it again anytime soon. But then, I didn't scoop out the seeds - what's left? We eat bananas, pears and golden/red delicious apples, peeled, for fruits. We just purchased a dehydrator and loved the fruit roll-ups we made with applesauce. We will be making dried fruits and banana chips later this week. Helen, mom to (9, ASD, SCD 4/04) > I want to expand Abby's diet a little since we've actually done this a total of over 4 months. Guest guest
Kiwi made my daughter angry and aggressive, and severely exacerbated my son's motor tics. That was a year ago, though, so maybe they could tolerate it now. Many of the plant-derived digestive enzymes include kiwi, so I finally realized why the enzymes seemed to be making things worse instead of better. , mom to Lukas and Chloe, GFCF 3 years, SCD 1 month > I want to expand Abby's diet a little since we've actually done this a total of over 4 months.
