Guest guest
" First- Orange juice referred to in one of the recipes I assume is not a brand name bought orange juice, but fresh squeezed from the orange? " --> You can use Tropicana original (with or without pulp in the cartons in the refrigerated section) or you can use fresh squeezed. " Same question for lemon juice- is it acceptable to buy it in a container or is it referring to fresh squeezed? " --> I've never seen any references to legal lemon juice. I just use a small hand held juicer for lemons and limes. " Mayonnaise-...Raw eggs aren't a concern? " --> The mayonnaise in the jars in the grocery is made from raw eggs. I just buy fresh organic eggs to make the mayo. Be sure to wash the eggs thoroughly before cracking them. From my understanding, there is more of a risk of germs/bacteria being on the outside of the eggshell than in the raw eggs themselves. " Any other thoughts or comments on the goat products? " --> Did removing them stop the problems that had returned? If not, then I would look elsewhere for the cause of the sound sensitivty. " Bread- The recipe for the almond bread requires mayonnaise, I assume it's the kind described on the same site? " --> I am not sure which recipe you are referring to, but my favorite mayonnaise recipe is the one on pecanbread.com. " Cashew muffins: These are awesome and my son loves them. Has anyone made them with a different fruit, like pearsauce? If so what did you change and how much fruit did you use? " --> I am glad to hear that he likes them. You can use another fruit, but I think it will need to be pureed, then dripped like yogurt to get the excess liquid out. Otherwise, I think the other fruits would make the batter to wet and runny. Use 1/2 cup of dripped fruit sauce to replace the banana. Jody mom to -5 and -7 SCD 18 months

I will try it again over the weekend maybe and see if the sound sensitivity heightens. Nothing else really fits other than the yeast comments I've read where the sensitivity has come in short term while fighting yeast. > > " Cashew muffins: These are awesome and my son loves them. > Has anyone made them with a different fruit, like pearsauce? Guest guest
" so do the coffee filter thing? Or anything that works well to drip it through? " I use a coffee filter. I don't own anything else with small enough holes to keep the rest of the fruit from dripping through. I use the coffee filter to make the tomato sauce thick enough to be used for pizza sauce too. Guest guest
The cooked mayonnaise recipe was my favorite by far, but I had a problem at first and it turned out runny. I figured I didn't stream the oil in slowly enough. When I tried it a determined second time pouring in the oil fairly slowly, it worked great. Good luck!
