Aquatain moisturizer

Hi Dan. No, Aquatain doesn't cause me to break out. That's why the

doc told me to use it. She said the other things I was using (such as

Nivea cream) would clog my pores. Aquatain hides the flakes on my skin

and makes it look smooth.

However, after searching for it on the net, I found it seems to be

available only in Canada. There are a couple of people on other

discussion groups raving about it, but they seem to be Canadian. I did

find a web site where you can buy it : http://www.globaldrugs.com/phar

macy/

They quote their prices in US dollars. Aquatain cream and lotion are

US$4.62. It says on the tube that it's manufactured by Lederle,

Montreal, which I thought was probably a subsidiary of an American

company, but maybe not.

For the pustules, I take Minocin, 50 mg (antibiotic) every other day.

You have to start at a higher dose and then go down. That seems to be

a good maintenance dose for me. I don't take it all the time, but when

my skin gets bad. (Like right now :( ) I also use Metrocream, but it

doesn't work as well as Minocin.

Also, I use zinc oxide cream at night (Penaten, baby cream). It seems

to make my skin smoother and less red, minimizing the flaking and

little red bumps. I've read a lot about zo on this group, and I've

never seen any negative comments about it. I was thinking of asking a

pharmacist to mix the zo with Aquatain cream, as it would be less

heavy. Does anyone know if that would work?

Good luck. Geraldine.

Thanks Geraldine!

The aquatain doesn't cause any breakouts? What do you use to control

the acne part of the rosacea? I wonder if I can get that here in

California???

Dan
