Pap smear? I don't HAVE a cervix.. all it tests for is cervical cancer.

Mammograms? Last one I had because I found a lump.. Mammogram showed nothing, in

other words my self-examination was more accurate (Lump was encysted dog hair!).

I have not been sick enough to require a doctor in about 5 years when I QUIT

going to them for thyroid. Tell you anything? LOL

If I left it up to the AMA doctors, I honestly believe I would be dead now.

WHere I believe there is a place for them at some times and for certain

things, I think the warning labels should read: " PATIENT BEWARE "

by that. Does your doctors know this is what you do?<<

I haven't been to a doctor in over two years, nor have I had labs done. I

feel like I have wasted enough money on labs that don;t tell me a darn

thing, and doctors that tell me lies and misinformation. I have adjusted my

dosages by body temps and how I feel and am SO much better off than I used

to be going to doctors and paying for labs that I just think it's a better

way. If I did go back to a doctor I had seen before, yes, I would tell them.

I just would not relinquish control of my health to them. If a doctor can't

deal with that, they don;t need me for a patient.

Caroline, a lot of us find that just having to go to dr's for colds, flu's and

such become less frequent once our thyroid is working for us, and not against

us. I've not been sick in about 3 yrs, or real close to it. I used to always

get colds, sometimes the flu, and bronchitis was always a problem for me, but

not anymore?

Of course, once my hyperT was being attended to, even though it made me go hypo,

I only remember getting sick one time with a cold in all this time? Used to be,

if somebody at work sneezed.....I was sick the following week. Knock on wood.

:-)

Regular pap smears I do get. Thyroid isn't going to help that aspect.
