Has anyone used GSE to help their child while on antibiotics? Our

nutritionist suggested adding this to our son's regimen whenever he goes

on oral antibiotics. He already takes Probiotics. He still had an awful

time with yeast during his last round of antibiotics though. She felt

GSE would help. Would love any feedback on this. Thanks Deb

What is the dosage on GSE? I have some - never used it because my son was

sensitive to citrus and when his UC was active, I didn't want to chance

anything. I'd like to try GSE with both kids. What is the dosage? I have a 4

yr old and 15 mo old.

Re: Grapefruit Seed Extract

Hi,

I have been using Grapefruit, lemom, lime and tangerine mixed seeds for years.

It is wonderful. Never knew of a reaction.

Deb,

My son's doctor always recommends taking an anti-fungal (nystatin, diflucan,

etc..) at the same time and after taking the antibiotic. Thought you might

want another option.

Another thing, if a child needs to have an antibiotic due to a cold it is

better to give in shot form versus oral because it will not go through the

digestive tract.

Hi Deb,

My son's doctor recommends to take an anti-fungal (ex. diflucan, nystatin,

etc...) with and after taking an antibiotic. Also, if the antibiotic is given

due to a cold you might want to give it IM (shot form) versus oral so it won't

go through the digestive tract. This helps to avoid yeast.
