Guest guest
Maybe you can help me. I seem to be doing them wrong because they turn out mushy every time. Do yours turn out firm like french fries? If so, how exactly do you prepare and cook them? Thank you, Ana > For those of you with kids' that are addicted to fries like my son > is.i just wanted say I made these " fries " and my son loved them!!!! Guest guest
Ana, I cut the butternut squash in french fries shape.Use olive oil in pan.Pre-heat pan and add " fries " .I think the trick is to keep moving them around alot(they cook in about 4 -5 minutes) .So they don't over cook and stay crispy.Add salt and peeper to taste.i am going to try the ketchup later today and I'll let you know how that goes over with my 3yr old. Guest guest
One thing I left out on preperation of fries.I did peel squash before cutting into french fries shape and fried in olive oil .Add salt and pepper to taste.the trick seems to be to keep moving them around in pan so they don't burn or over cook. They cook fast! maybe 4 minutes. nicole
