Guest guest
Tricia, I am not offended that you "withheld" the information, it is just a bit to take in at once. I know how hard all that typing must of been for you. So if you have this there are no pain relievers that you can take? I am so sorry that you and Barb have to suffer with RSD and SAME. I will pray for the both of you that you may be able to find a treatment that will help both problems. take care and I hope you pain is less today ( which is Sunday) I am just way behind on my emails. Guest guest
Lin - Just to clarify....For me, it's up in the air as to whether or not I have SAME. The doc seems to believe that I may have it, but it's not conclusive....at least as far as this stubborn Irish woman is concerned Given that I have just now started on the opiod treatment, he wants me off all of the meds that may kick it sky-high. Sooooo off of the clonidine, flexeril, and lisinopril. We're just have to kinda scramble to replace some of the meds. The flexeril wasn't a major issue since I am also on heavy doses of valium for the muscle spasms that tend to be a significant problem for me. Treating my blood pressure spikes, however, might be trickier. All in all, though, if in fact I do have SAME, I'm glad that he caught it before it became a huge problem for me (lol...or maybe it was a big issue and this head-buried-in-the-sand person had just been chalking up the symptoms to other things). I give up. Barbara wrote: Tricia, I am not offended that you "withheld" the information, it is just a bit to take in at once. I know how hard all that typing must of been for you. Guest guest
Barbara, Don't mean to be nosey, but ask your doctor about Nifedipine for blood pressure. Does really well in RSD patients. I was recently put on it, and helps more than any other medication I am on. Just a thought. Guest guest
Not nosy at all, Dawn. I'll mention it and have them check against the list of meds that I have to avoid. Thanks for your concern. Bdawn lorenz wrote: Barbara, Don't mean to be nosey, but ask your doctor about Nifedipine for blood pressure. Does really well in RSD patients.
