I am very excited right now. Ihad my consult with Dr. Fisher on 11/10. Initially my consult wasn't scheduled until 12/3 with Dr. Baggs but I called Richmond Bariatric Dept and left a message for them to call me if there are earlier cancellations, there were. Dr. Fisher came into the room excited and impressed about how serious I was about doing this. I only had 1 pound to lose to be at my 10% weight loss goal. He asked when would I want the surgery, I told him soon. He said that he would send my paperwork straight over to have the pre-sugery class so I can get a date. I was too happy when I left. Then on 11/12, yes 2 days later, I got a call from the Bariatric Dept to offer me a sugery date, she was as excited as I was. I was given the date of 12/14. This process have been problem free for me. From the time of requesting approval to the surgery date the whole process has taken 5 months. So I feel blessed.
