Guest guest
Hi , my name is LaWanda and I live in Sacramento, with my husband Dan, and I haven't been on here long either.Welcome to the group, there are a lot of good people on here with a lot of information! Is it really true that you had your surgery at Freemont? I am scheduled to have surgery there too, but I don't have a date yet, still working on weight and getting diabetes under control. Anyway, good to meet you, and sorry I don't have any post-op help to give you. LaWanda At 06:42 AM 11/10/04, you wrote: >G-B-S-K-P Group: > >Hello. I'm a newbie so there is a whole lot I don't know. Guest guest
Welcome to the group, ! You'll find that collected here is a group of brave souls who constantly amaze me with their love, support, insight and wisdom. I couldn't have made it to goal without them. It's great because you'll find that you can come here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help you through this process. Keep us updated on your progress, let us know when you've got questions, vent when you need to, and celebrate your milestones with us. No one, and I mean NO ONE understands this process like another co-traveler on this journey. I have found great comfort in the fact that, with this group, I am never alone. Guest guest
Hi , Welcome aboard. I hope that you find this group to be as helpful as I have. This has become my home on the internet because it is the most understanding, supportive and helpful group of folks I've ever found on-line. Since you will be going through the Fremont facility, will you be attending the WLS Support Group there? There is a meeting tomorrow evening at 6:00pm. They are usually the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month - but there won't be a meeting on the 4th Friday in Nov. or Dec. because of the holidays. Anyway . . .if you do attend, say Hi. I'll be the one up front, making my first attempt at facilitating a support group meeting. You were kind enough to tell us a bit about yourself, so I'll reciprocate. Female; 54 years old; currently 177 pounds (started at 375); 5'1 " ; married 11 years; my husband is a lovable techno-nerd and not changing either; no kids; born and raised in Northern California, moved to the Bay Area in 1969 after living for a short while in Pennsylvania and North Dakota; woefully under-educated, but reasonably intelligent; have participated in Renaissance Faires for over 25 years. As you said, " Anything else you want to know, just ask and I'll probably answer. " I look forward to getting to know you. Please keep posting and letting us know how you are progressing in your journey. Take care, Kay in San Leandro open RNY 12/1/03 , (EXP) wrote: > G-B-S-K-P Group: > > Hello. Guest guest
LaWanda, thank you for the info! Currently we have a house with a pretty small backyard (about .17 acre) and it’s pretty much just big enough for my one 100 lb dog. But we are in the process of looking for a bigger house with a little more land and when that happens I will look into this! Thanks again. - Lesa - Introduction to >gastric-bypass-support-kaiser > >G-B-S-K-P Group: > >Hello. I'm a newbie so there is a whole lot I don't know.
