Guest guest
Hi artsy. Yes, your free T3 is MONSTROUSLY low, and by what happened to you before, you definitely need to start on a low dose to give your body time to adjust. And he's right on target to tell you that you will need to raise every few weeks---otherwise your hypo would return with a vengeance. It's also good that you are on testosterone. Hopefully, that estrogen you are on is a very minimal amount. And why do they called post menopause a DISORDER????????? Geez. Did he mention testing your adrenals?? And what about your Ferritin, which needs improvement in so many here.... Guest guest
- That Disorder thingy was just what they had on the paper...I had a really bad brain fog day today and just about can't remember anything of what he told me...the meds. are being sent to me so I will check the dosage of the estrogen. Thanks for looking them over...I so need to feel better soon... -- In NaturalThyroidHormones , " loboshe " <usns@r...> wrote: > > Hi artsy. Guest guest
Post menopausal disorder, my butt! You have an extremely low cortisol and are in adrenal fatigue from it. Yes, the other adrenal substances (progesterone, DHEA, and testosterone) are being replaced, but what does he intend to do about the cortisol? To me, you should also be on Cortef (hydrocortisone) for this. I don't see how replacing the other substances can possibly make up for this, though you need those also. Your Free T4 is also way below range, but even if it was at the cusp, within range, it would still ble way too low. Your Free T3 needs to come up also, as most people say they feel better with it at the top end or even over. You are definitely hypothyroid, plus are in adrenal exhaustion. Guest guest
What she said! Plus, just from looking at your numbers I wouldn't say you need estrogen. If you're having hot flashes or dryness that makes intercourse difficult, only then would estrogen be indicated, IMO. And along with Cortef or whatever else you take for the adrenal exhaustion, you gotta rest. It's essential to use only half the energy you have each day, and use the rest for healing. Especially once you get on the right dose of Armour and start feeling more ambitious. wrote: > Post menopausal disorder, my butt!
