Guest guest Posted June 29, 2004 Report Share Posted June 29, 2004 Just a quick email to share this. I am so happy I just feel the need to let you all know! Abby has really BAD transition issues, so taking her out is HARD! Today we went to speech and she did awesome but decided to go by the grocery store for a very quick try (just in and out and praise her for that). Usually when we drive up she already gets stressed and starts crying. Well, she got right out of the car and said " Come on, lets go! " Went in and she said " Wow! " . Then I said let's go get some cheese...........she said " cheese " and went and helped me. Then she looked all around the store noticing everything and really being amazed by it. She helped me check out and then went and got a balloon and NO transition issues at all. I was praising her left and right. This is happiness to me! Abby has a long way to go but today meant so much to me....................I think being out of public school is actually going to help her progress more.
