Guest guest
and Cindi, I had some lab tests done, and was prescribed DHEA SR 25mg capsules. After my skin broke out, I cut it in half to 12.5mg. When that didn't work, I quartered it, but my skin still broke out. I'm just looking for some DHEA that worked for someone else that might work for me. Cindi, what is 7 ketl?

Guest guest
This is all so complicated with my brain fog, but very informative too. I have stopped taking Estradiol several months ago because I read that it's riskier for heart attacks & strokes. But I'm thinking of restarting it again because of too much hot flashes & other symptoms I think might be related. It especially helps maintain bone mass which I need with my severe osteopenia & spinal pathologies. I don't take DHEA but used to & am thinking of starting that up again too. But maybe I should just buy the DHEA & not the Estradiol Rx? Where do you buy your 7-keto-DHEA? Do you get a blood test or other kind of test for your DHEA levels? I don't know what to do first here because of being so much in a quandry about all this stuff. Caroline Re: DHEA You might try 7-Keto-DHEA, which is a metabolite of DHEA and may be less problem causing and this is why some companies sell it. DHEA excess is very commonly converted to estradiol in women. In hypothyroidism, estrogen is often high, and this axacerbates hypothyroidism. So, too much DHEA could be adversely affecting hormone balance. I take 1 15mg DHEA pill a week. This gives me about 2 mg a day. My DHEA is only just below the midline of the range. My advice is to drop your dose to 5mg a day and see how that works. If you still have problems, then try 7-keto-DHEA.
Guest guest
Natural T3 (Armour) builds a leaner more strong solid bone mass. Synthetic hormones of any kind will NOT do this. This is a slower more eventual process that doesn't happen in just a couple of months. Progesterone cream will take care of the hot flashes. Guest guest
I'm taking Fosamax once a week for bone rebuilding/strengthening for over a month now. The drs say their patients have had amazing results on it & I've heard two women's positive testimonies on it too. Apparently results are very noticeable after six months. Haven't a clue what's in it tho. Might possibly be something that won't jibe well with the Armour possibly. So are you saying I should stop taking the Fosamax once I get on the right dosage of Armour? I never thought of th progesterone cream but did buy some natural estrogen cream that I haven't been using since I didn't notice a thing the few times I tried it. So are you saying I shouldn't take the Estradiol or the Change Of Life herbal formula I'm on either but should just rely on buying/using progesterone cream instead? Guest guest
I can't speak for anyone but myself, but having had an early and complete hysterectomy, Progesterone creams did NOT fix all my symptoms. Still don't though they are much better now. My heat intolerance, night sweats and hot flashes it STILL takes some estrogen to correct! *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes? Guest guest
I've still got all those symptoms too. 'Specially WAY more pronounced since I stopped taking Estradiol a couple of months ago. Which is why I just reordered a refill. Re: Re: DHEA I can't speak for anyone but myself, but having had an early and complete hysterectomy, Progesterone creams did NOT fix all my symptoms.
