Guest guest
I have read other papers on salt and it's benefits! It seems like the doctors were out to do me in. They had me cut all salt out of my diet AND I was on potassium sparing diuretics! The combo was creating such an imbalance that my muscles were not functioning properly. I was also retaining fluids because my body was low in sodium. Often what we are told one year is found to be untrue the next... and that is scary as they always claim it is absolute fact! *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes? Guest guest
I'm back into eating salt too again. But watching the amount & using " no salt " or " low sodium salt " or " sea salt " . Still can't do without it tho. My body craves it sometimes. I don't think it's bad to satisfy the cravings long as I don't go overboard. Guest guest
Since starting the hydrocortisone I am " addicted " to Lay's Original Kettle Chips - just in the last week has the addiction abated. I mean addicted - like sometimes 10 oz a day addicted. Jen R. -- Re: Re: Craving... don't laugh I'm back into eating salt too again. Guest guest
>>I am " addicted " to Lay's Original Kettle Chips << Get some Sea Salt! Most the grocery stores (larger ones) carry it now, and it is better for you than eating chips! Don;t go overboard with it, but start making it a point to use it on most foods you would normally add salt to. I have almost stopped my salt cravings by doing this, and I haven't had a muscle cramp in months now. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Diabetes? Guest guest
I use sea salt too. Stopped eating the Lay's chips I used to love so much. Haven't craved them anymore much either. Glad of that. Come to think of it, I haven't had my usual muscle spasms either for about two months. Could be the other supplements I'm on tho too. The chiropractor told me to take my calcium/magnesium/phosphorous/ Vitamin D liquid at night on an empty stomach before bedtime to stop those. That's been working wonderfully well for most of the whole body muscle spasms & pain. I also added a Coral Calcium/vitamin formula during the day which I also think is helping bunches. Still have the carpal tunnel hands/finger aches/pains tho which may also be scleroderma I have elsewhere. That hasn't gone away at all. Still just as bad as ever. So is my low back pain which I doubt even the Armour or Time-Caps thyroid will help much. But we'll see it will address the connective tissue disorder pains too.
