Always use the " 2-hour " rule for raw or cooked eggs left at room temperature.

Never leave perishable food out of the refrigerator for over two hours. Egg

dishes, meat, fish, poultry, cream- and mayonnaise-based foods should not be

left unrefrigerated for more than one hour. The exception seems to be the

" dripped " yogurt pehaps because the liquid is draining off.

Carol,

I agree with you on items made with eggs, but uncracked eggs should

be fine - they sell them unfrigerated in the stores in Europe. As

far as I've heard, it's only America that keeps them refrigerated.

I decided to play it safe and let my son cry for his beloved yogurt.

Unfortunately this looks like it will be long term. We have no money

to get a refrigerator let alone replace the food we lost. At this

point we have no choice but to go off the diet until we get back on

our feet again. Our church said there is a couple that mentioned

having a fridge to donate to someone in need but they are not sure if

they still have it and will not know until Tuesday. Until then I

will try to keep my sons as legal as possible but with being forced

to use premade foods that we can get from a food bank, that will be

difficult.
