So, I have a total of 30 pounds to lose, and have managed 9 so far. Losing weight has never been easy for me, and at 61 is even harder. But, I am determined to do it no matter what it takes. So, keep the good thoughts coming this way. I live on the south side of Hill, but am a guide at the Monterey Bay Aquarium on Friday afternoons. That makes it hard for me to get up there since my shift is over at 6:00 pm. I am thinking when it is slow at the Aquarium after the holidays I might be able to get a substitute and come up for a meeting. The online support has provided me a lot of information, but I would like to meet some of the group. Thanks again for the nice note, and I hope I can meet you soon. I'll certainly keep good thoughts heading your way. Being a guide at the aquarium must be wonderful. I was there just recently. We've visited several times over the years and I am always impressed. Coming up from the south side of Hill to Fremont for a 6:00pm meeting sounds like a bear of a drive. As LaWanda said, the Fremont Kaiser folks do want you to attend an in-person support group. Personally, I do think that participating in such a group is important. As much support and information as I get from this group, the in-person group provides a different sort of accountability or something. However, you do not need to attend the group in Fremont - so if you can find a group that is a better fit for you (closer to home or at a better time or whatever) then that should satisfy the Fremont Kaiser's requirement.
