Guest guest
OMG--that's horrible! I looked at the pics but I wish I hadn't. Kathy Warning for pet owners in Florida I got this from another list I'm on and I'm passing it along. This is a terrible story. I do not know how they couldhave taken advantage of grieving animal lovers duringthe time of their loss. We have a wonderful Pet Cemetery and Crematory here inGeorgia that I have used for the last 15 years. Theyare so professional and they are run just like aFuneral Home. I have not had any of my babies buried,I have had them all cremated and have their remains inUrns which will be buried with me when I go.Remember to read this story. Guest guest
I didn't look at the pictures. I can believe the horror of this. A few years ago, a human crematorium here in GA did about the same thing with human bodies. Before we moved, we had our pets cremated at the shelter where I worked. Here, we take their bodies to the local shelter, which will dispose of them at no charge for county residents. They're cremated in the incinerator with other animals, but that's OK with us. We know their bodies won't be exposed to live animals. We don't want to keep ashes; we have our memories & pictures. I understand that not everyone feels the same way, & support burial or cremation & keeping the ashes. -- Re: Warning for pet owners in Florida OMG--that's horrible! Guest guest
We've had most of our animals cremated with others and the vet takes care of them. Angel was different somehow and I'm burying her ashes here. Everyone has different feelings about this stuff. I think that once we (or any animal) are dead--well, the body is just the box we come in. The reason I kept Angel's ashes is for me--I wasn't ready to let go yet--I know she's not in that box. Some people even have their pets freeze-dried. My son does that ---not with his own animals, but it's part of what he does as a taxidermist, freez dries them and puts them in a nice arrangement in a case. He doesn't get it and neither do I--I mean they are dead, if they were ill or old before they died he can make them look better but they won't be puppies or kitties, they'll still look like old or ill animals. My brother and s-i-l had him do two of their Yorkies and they're in a glass case together. I remember that GA crematorium that had the human bodies out...gross.
